These speakers are very good for the $20 I payed for them. I have always been happy with Creative products- I also own a Zen Vision: M. The bass can get a little thumpy, but it provides crisp sound.
These speakers have a great sound and I liked them for the 5 months they worked. However, I expect products to last longer than this so I was surprised when one of the speakers stopped producing sound. Got an RMA and sent them back to Creative Labs. Am waiting to see if they honor the warranty.
I got these speakers to use on a computer I have for my nephews to play on when they come over. These are for people that want some inexpensive speakers that game and listen to music once and a while. It also takes some tweaking to get it just right as the sub can easily distort.
I really only intended to use these speakers for gaming which they work for very well considering the price. I have much nicer speakers on my main computer and the difference is night and day. I also use this system to play older games that don't like newer operating systems.
I wouldn't recommend these for someone that really likes to listen to music a lot. I tested them out on some music and they don't do so well. The sound quality isn't bad but there isn't much depth, even with the sub.
However, these blow away the two speakers I was using before. Especially if your computer has on board sound.
Easy to use and a good value for the money. I might have been more satisfied spending a little more to get a louder set of speakers.
